Governance can be surprisingly lonely, because many non-executive directors and trustees have limited opportunity to discuss challenges openly, compare experiences, or learn from peers outside their own organisations.
NEDness brings together those serving on boards, those preparing for them, those leading organisations that depend on strong boards, and the professionals who advise them, to learn together through shared experience, practical discussion and genuine curiosity.
Some of the most valuable governance lessons come from hearing how others have approached difficult decisions and navigated complex situations. Our community exists to make those conversations possible, and it works because of how they are conducted. Conversations take place on the same basis as the Chatham House Rule: what is said may be used freely, but neither the speaker nor the organisation they spoke about may be identified.
