Partners

Our partners make NEDness possible, supporting an independent ecosystem that remains free to belong, so that a board career is open to a far wider range of people than it traditionally has been.

Why partner with NEDness

The NEDness community brings together non-executive directors at every stage of their careers, trustees of not-for-profit organisations, professionals preparing for a first board role, and the companies, founders, investors and boards deciding whether and how to add independent non-executive expertise, so our partners reach both the individuals who sit on boards and the organisations that build them.

We offer organisations:

Access to a qualified audience that is otherwise hard to reach
Global reach across jurisdictions
A trust that transfers from association with an independent governance ecosystem

As the community grows:

Aggregated and anonymised data-driven insight into the governance topics and tools the community engages with, in the form of generalised reports or bespoke consulting mandates.

Who we partner with

We work with organisations whose service-offering aligns with the needs of the global governance community, including companies operating in the fields of: board technology, cyber security, data and AI, sustainability and reporting, advisory and professional services, executive search and board recruitment, D&O insurance and risk, leadership, culture and development, professional education, financial services and investment, and RegTech and compliance.

How partnerships work

Partners can choose between an annual programme relationship, with options for multi-year commitments; and standalone opportunities, including sponsored content series, toolkits, and co-produced research. Every arrangement is governed by five principles that protect the trust on which the ecosystem depends:

  1. the digital community is free to belong;
  2. partners fund the ecosystem;
  3. NEDness is complementary, not competitive;
  4. influence is never for sale, so no partner can shape content, research conclusions or editorial priorities;
  5. every commercial relationship is disclosed wherever it appears.

Where we are now

NEDness is in its Build phase, focused on establishing its editorial voice, growing the community across jurisdictions, and publishing original data. We intend to earn the right to introduce partners before we do so. Founding partner agreements will follow in the next phase across a small number of complementary categories, and we are recording expressions of interest now so those conversations start with organisations that already understand the model.

Register your interest

If your business works alongside boards or supports the companies and not-for-profits that appoint non-executive directors and trustees and would like to be part of the founding partner conversations, tell us who you are and where you see the fit, and Tom, our Commercial Director, will reply personally.

Join the NEDness community!

Registration is free, with just your name and email address. In return, we offer access to original content, clear insight, practical guidance, and valuable connections.
