Tom co-founded NEDness in 2026. He continues to serve on boards while leading the commercial development of the business, and is accountable for growth, partnerships and finance.
Tom is Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Accelerate, a Jersey-based consulting and accounting business which he established in 2025. He has served as a non-executive director since 2019 and is a Commissioner of Appeals for the Government of Jersey, hearing appeals against decisions of the Comptroller of Revenue, and a voting board member of the Jersey Data Protection Authority, where he chairs the Audit and Risk Committee. He also chairs the IoD Jersey Sustainability Sub-Committee. He previously chaired SunWorks Limited, a Jersey renewable energy business, and served as a trustee of Dementia Jersey, where he chaired the Technology Sub-Committee. He was also a trustee of the JSPCA following a period as its interim chief executive.
Tom began his career in finance with BAE Systems on its Finance Leaders Development Programme, followed by roles with Merrill Lynch and CPA Global, working across the UK, Ireland and Jersey. He then spent over a decade at Jersey Telecom (JT) as a member of the Executive Committee and Board, in roles including Managing Director of the International Division, where he led the growth of JT’s IoT business and its sale for approximately £200 million, Director of Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary, and Chief Product and Digital Officer.
Tom holds a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology from the University of Bristol, is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and is a Chartered Director. He has completed executive programmes at the Wharton School and INSEAD, together with the Prince of Wales Business & Sustainability Programme. In 2021, he was named IoD Jersey Director of the Year for Sustainability.
Outside work, Tom walks his dog and gets out on the golf course whenever he can.
